Seller Terms
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you, the seller, and KUDI CORPORATION LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Houston, Texas, USA, which runs One Dollar Shopper (“we”, “us”). They apply when you sell on onedollarshopper.com. When you tick the box to agree to them at sign-up, you accept them.
One Dollar Shopper is a marketplace for Nigerian and African food, fashion, beauty, art and crafts, plus everyday goods. Our shoppers are in Canada and the United States. All amounts in these terms are in US dollars (USD).
1. Your account
- Each account is for one person or one business.
- Keep your login safe. Do not share it. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us right away.
- Keep your details accurate and up to date: your name, email, phone number, store address and payout details. We send important notices to the email on your account.
2. Opening your shop
- Signing up is free.
- We review every new shop before it can sell. We’ll email you when your shop is approved.
- We also review every new product before it goes live.
- We may decline a shop or a product.
3. Your listings
- Give every product an accurate title, photos, price and description. Show it as it really is.
- Only list products that you own or have the right to sell. Only use photos and text that you have the right to use.
- List only the stock you have sent to our warehouses, and keep the quantity up to date, so shoppers cannot buy items we do not have.
- Set your prices in US dollars (USD). Shoppers can also see them in Canadian dollars, converted at the day’s exchange rate.
- You are responsible for your products and for what your listings say about them.
4. Items you cannot sell
Do not list:
- anything that is illegal to sell in Canada or the US
- counterfeit goods (fakes or copies of branded products)
- weapons
- drugs
- anything unsafe or recalled
- items that infringe someone’s trademark or copyright, such as products with a copied brand logo, or copies of another artist’s work
Food, beauty and herbal products must be properly labelled and allowed for sale in both Canada and the US. If you are not sure whether an item is allowed, ask us before you list it.
We may remove any listing that breaks these rules.
5. Fees
- There are no listing fees, no monthly fees and no payout fees.
- We keep 35% of the price of each item you sell. The other 65% is your share.
- This rate may change. If it does, we’ll email you before the new rate applies.
- PayPal or your bank may charge their own fees. We do not control those fees.
6. Sales tax
When we charge shoppers sales tax, the tax on your products is split the same way as the sale: we keep 35% of it, and the other 65% is added to your share.
Example: you sell a $100 item to a shopper in Ontario, where the sales tax (HST) is 13%.
- The shopper pays $113 for the item.
- We keep 35% of $113, which is $39.55.
- You get the other 65%, which is $73.45.
Each of us sends our own share of that tax to the government. We report and pay the 35% we keep. You are responsible for reporting and paying the tax added to your share, for registering for tax where the law requires it, and for tax on your own income. Your dashboard shows the tax on each of your orders. If you are not sure what applies to you, ask an accountant. We may update how we handle tax to meet the law. If we do, we’ll tell you.
7. Orders
- Shoppers pay in full online before an order ships. There is no cash on delivery.
- We pack and ship each order from the warehouse that holds your product, and we email you when one of your products sells.
- If an item you listed is not in our warehouse, we cancel that item and refund the shopper, and you are not paid for it.
- If this happens often, we may pause your shop.
8. Sending your products to us
- You send your products to our warehouses. In Canada: 1290 Finch Avenue West, Unit 18, Toronto, Ontario. We’ll give you the address of our US warehouse before you send stock there.
- You pay to ship your products to the warehouse, including any customs duties, import taxes and brokerage fees. Send them with duties paid, through a customs broker or a carrier that clears customs for you.
- Importing your products is your responsibility. They must meet the import rules of the country you send them to. For food, that includes the US Food and Drug Administration’s prior notice for each shipment and any licence the Canadian Food Inspection Agency requires. If a shipment is held, refused or destroyed at the border, the cost is yours.
- Put a packing list in every shipment. The products you send must match your listings.
- Your products are your responsibility until our warehouse checks them in. Once they are checked in, we are responsible if they are lost or damaged while we hold them.
- We ship every order to the shopper and charge the shopper for shipping. Shipping charges are not part of your share.
- If you want unsold products sent back to you, you pay the shipping.
9. Getting paid
- When an order is marked completed, your share is added to your balance. You can see your balance in your dashboard.
- Each sale is held for 30 days from the order date before it can be paid out. That covers the shopper’s 14-day return window, so you are only paid for sales that can no longer be refunded.
- We send payouts twice a month, on the Thursday of the first and third week, whenever your available balance is at least US$50. A smaller balance carries over to the next payout date.
- Payouts are in US dollars. We pay by PayPal or bank transfer. To start, add your payout details in your dashboard and switch on the payout schedule. You only need to do this once. Payouts start after you do.
10. Returns and refunds
Shoppers can return items under our Returns & Exchanges policy. That policy sets which items can be returned, the time limit, and who pays for return shipping. For example, perishable goods such as food cannot be returned. Please read it before you list.
If an order is refunded, your share of the refunded amount is taken back from your balance. Because each sale is held for 30 days first, this normally happens before you are paid for it.
11. Pausing or closing a shop
- We can pause or close your shop if you break these terms.
- You can close your shop at any time. Email us and we’ll close it.
- When a shop closes, we pay out the balance you are owed once open orders and refunds are settled.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. If you see a shopper’s personal details, use them only for that shopper’s order.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll email you before any change takes effect. If you keep selling after that, the new terms apply to you. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your shop.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
